  • Charyn Canyon is a "Wonder of Kazakhstan." It is an incredibly magical place with rocks and cliffs resembling animals or birds, a valley of castles with rock formations that look like towers stretching for 2 km and varying in width from 20 to 80 meters, stones of lovers, and the amazing fresh steppe air. There is much more that is impossible to describe; it must simply be seen and felt.

  • Charyn Canyon is located within the Charyn National Nature Reserve, established on February 23, 2004, just 200 km from Almaty, right at the border with China. The canyon stretches over 150 km, is composed of sedimentary rocks, and is approximately 12 million years old.

DETAILED TOUR PROGRAM

  • PROGRAM:
    • 7:30 - Departure from Almaty.
    • 9:30 - Arrival at Charyn National Park. Walk in the Moon Canyon.
    • 10:30 - Arrival at the Black Canyon.
    • 11:30 - Arrival at the panoramic viewpoint "Napoleon" in Charyn Canyon.
    • 12:30-14:00 - Walk through Bestamak Canyon, lunch in nature by the Charyn River.
    • 14:30 - Arrival at Temirlik Canyon.
    • 15:30 - Arrival at Kurtogay Gorge.
    • 16:30 - Arrival at Charyn Canyon – Valley of Castles, walk to the Charyn River, light trekking to the panorama.
    • 20:30 - Arrival in Almaty.

    Departure from Almaty In the morning, the guide-driver will pick you up from your designated address, and you will head to the first location in Charyn Canyon, the "Moon Canyon" viewpoint (220 km, approximately 3 hours). On the way, we will stop near the market in the village of Baiseyit, where you can buy snacks and drinks.

    Arrival at the Moon Canyon viewpoint At the viewpoint, we will enjoy the views from above and take photos. The walk will take about 30 minutes. Arrival at the Stone Cliff viewpoint Another viewpoint with a breathtaking view of the Charyn River. The walk will take about 30 minutes.

    Arrival at the Heart of the Canyon viewpoint The most beautiful spot in Charyn Canyon. This viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the central and most popular part of the canyon among tourists, the "Valley of Castles." The walk will take about 30 minutes.

    Arrival at Bestamak Gorge Descending into Bestamak Gorge by off-road vehicle, you can walk to the Charyn River and have a picnic. Trekking 5 km, walking time 2 hours. 30 минут.

    Return to the city After walking through Bestamak Gorge, we head back to the city (Travel time: 3 hours, 230 km). Upon arrival, the guide-driver will drop you off at any point in the city.
