Visiting the Big Almaty Lake (BAO) is a must for every guest of our city. How can one trly understand Almaty without experiencing the beauty of it’s surrounding mountains? That’s right - one can’t. The Big Almaty Lake, like Medeo, is located close to the city center. The guide will take you to the lake and show you the panoramic view where you can enjoy the scenery and take memorable photos. Next, we will descend to the stream that feeds the lake with pure water, which is also a primary drinking source for Almaty residents. The area around the lake offers resting spots—gazebos where you can have a snack or lunch, or simply relax in nature. Additionally, within the gorge where the lake is located, there are other interesting sites, such as a space station and an observatory. If requested by tourists, visits to these sites can also be arranged.

- 10:00 - Arrival at Big Almaty Lake. Walk around the area, tea, and coffee.
- 13:00 - 15:30 - Arrival at Ayusai Visitor Center. Lunch, walking, and relaxing in nature.
