DETAILED TOUR PROGRAM

• DAY 1: Almaty / Basshy / Aktau mountians / Katutau / 700 year old willow / Basshy
  FIRST DAY:

  Departure from Almaty - Basshi Village (Lunch) - Aktau Mountains (Trekking) - Katutau - 700-Year-Old Willow - Basshi Village (Dinner, Overnight Stay)

  • Departure from Almaty (morning), to Basshi Village (290 km, approximately 3 hours)
  • Arrival in Basshi Village, lunch at the hotel
  • Departure to Aktau Mountains (80 km), excursion and trekking (3-8 km, 2-3 hours)
  • Departure to Katutau (30 km), walking tour (30-60 minutes)
  • Departure to the 700-Year-Old Willow (35 km), walking tour (30-60 minutes)
  • Departure back to Basshi Village, hotel (15 km), dinner, and sleep

• DAY 2: Basshy / The singing dunes / Zharkent (The ancient mosque) / Chundzha / Hot springs
  SECOND DAY:

  Basshi Village (Breakfast) - Singing Dune - Zharkent (Ancient Mosque) - Chundzha Village (Lunch) - Hot Springs (Dinner, Bathing, Overnight Stay)

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Basshi Village
  • Departure to the Singing Dune (50 km), walking tour (1-2 hours)
  • Departure to the ancient mosque in Zharkent (160 km), walking tour (1 hour)
  • Departure to Chundzha Village (100 km), lunch at a café
  • Departure to the hot springs (60 km), bathing, dinner, and sleep

• DAY 3: Hot springs / Charyn canyon / Kaindy lake / Saty
  THIRD DAY:

  Hot Springs (Bathing, Breakfast) - Charyn Canyon (Trekking, Lunch) - Kaindy Lake (Trekking) - Saty Village (Dinner, Overnight Stay)

  • Morning bathing and breakfast at the Hot Springs
  • Departure to Charyn Canyon (85 km, approximately 1 hour), trekking tour (6 km, 2-3 hours), lunch in the eco-park
  • Departure to Kaindy Lake (110 km, approximately 2.5 hours), trekking tour (3 km, 2 hours)
  • Departure to Saty Village (guesthouse) (15 km, approximately 1 hour), dinner, sleep

  Road distance: 210 km

• DAY 4: Saty / Kaindy lake 1 and 2 / Almaty
  FOURTH DAY:

  Saty Village (Breakfast) - Kolsai Lakes 1 and 2 (Trekking, Lunch) - Departure to Almaty

  • Breakfast in Saty (guesthouse)
  • Departure to Kolsai Lake-1 (15 km, approximately 30 minutes), trekking tour to Kolsai Lake-2 (16 km, 6-7 hours*), lunch
  • Departure to Almaty (300 km, approximately 5 hours); the driver will drop you off at any location within the city

  *For individuals with good physical fitness; alternative option - horse tour

  The route can be changed or modified according to your wishes; if you dream of visiting a landmark not listed in this program, contact the tour organizers—we will do our best to accommodate your request and inform you about all possible options.

  Examples of options: On the 2nd day, you can stay overnight in the Charyn Canyon if you do not wish to visit the hot springs. On the 3rd and 4th days, you can stay overnight in a yurt if desired. On the 4th day, you can travel to the second Kolsai Lake on horseback or stay at the first lake to fish for trout.
